"Spike TV has released the first very spooky trailer for their new ten part series based on Stephen King's THE MIST which launches June 22nd! It follows the residents of Bridgeville, Maine, who find themselves engulfed by a foreboding mist containing a myriad of inexplicable and bizarre threats that put their humanity to the test. As the eerie fog rolls in, a family is torn apart by a brutal crime that suddenly cuts them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down"

Jeez – the original film was perfect. Yet another unnecessary reboot. But of course grumblegrumble I'll watch it.

I'll Tivo it and cancel if it does not intrigue.

The Mist was a great movie and also one of the most depressing movies I have ever seen. I will give the series a shot but I don't hold high hopes for it.

I liked the movie mostly, but did not care for the end.

TV show could be good, just worrying about the timeline.

I would really love it if it started at the source a day or so before the event.

Cool. They are going to explore other stories surrounding the mist event, other than just the grocery store story.

So now the mist reads minds? looks like they will ruin it

I back Flashman. I think the movie ending out did the book. To re make this is just a proof of a deficit, there are literally thousands of great science fiction stories out there and dozens of media sites to do them properly.

….let's remake Game of Thrones anyone?

Really looking forward to this…fingers crossed….. speaking about high powered lasers….
