Just bought the rules, read them but didn't play yet. In your opinion, is it worth using moving trays for the game or trays interfere with some game tactics/mechanics? Thanks. Also, if yes for moving trays, which company that makes them do you recommend? |

Using the trays will not impede the game. You'll notice there are no flanks, etc. Some of our games use them, some not. |

It's been a while but I think we used some of the same movement "trays" we use for big sci-fi convention games (CD's with ballast on them) when we played Dragon Rampant. It's not necessary, but just a nice easy way to push abatch of figs around. |

Al of my figures are individually based and depending on how big the scenario dictates whether or not we use movement trays. Larger scenarios it just makes moving easier so therefore each turn is just a touch quicker. As for companies to recommend I think I have moving trays from a wide variety of companies as well as some I made myself. Most of my figures are mounted on 1" circles, although some are on 1" squares, so any tray that accommodates my bases works. I also generally use lose order type moving trays. I'm sorry I'm not being more help but that's my two cents worth. |

We play some armies based individual against some on move trays or multi bases. Makes no difference really! |

I don't like the straight-up rank-and-file trays, but if you use one of the skirmish-type trays where the bases are all separated and the tray itself is rounded or irregular, I think it is fne. |

For a game with maybe 50 figures a side? And no formations? No. |

I use Warbase "slotted" movement trays with mounted on 25mm round 4Ground bases for the infantry. But not mounted units as they are small and they are on 40mm bases which are really stable. Since I tend to play "big" skirmish games (up to 3 retinues a side) it does save time. |

My bases are metal so I use magnetic sheet cut to whatever size works. Just makes it a tad easier ? I do the same with tMWWBK. |

I play LR with single base units (12 infantry, 6 skirmishers or cavalry per base) and it works just fine. |

No, no tray, I like moving the figgers' around |

I have based my LR 28mm troops the way the recommend in The Pike Mans Lament. That is a base of 3 figures, 2 figures and singles, I have actually adapted this basing for my AWI rules "Light Bobs". works great. |

I specified precisely this basing system for the native side in my Australian frontier grand skirmish game 'Boomerang', written back in the early 2000's. If only I were GW. |
