So, prompted by MBA getting out of 15 mm I decided to take stock of how many 'buildings' I have for my miniatures. I thought, maybe 200 or a bit more since my scratch building Old West town is well north of 100.
Was I surprised when I discovered it is closer to and maybe over 400! Of course, I'm including teepees and tents and huts and ruined buildings. Also forts and some specialty wall sets. Still, a lot more than I thought.
Gives serious cause to pause before buying more.
Oh, all in 15 mm and some are just dollar store specials. But the vast majority are either resin or stone cast – much more resin because of durability. I have exactly one fence kit in MDF and don't plan to add more.
Now, there are certain things I would buy if made, buildings for Dumas' Musketeers Paris and Boxer Rebellion buildings being the most noteworthy.
And lots of these are painted – and lots aren't.
If I finish that Old West town then the total will be a lot nearer 600.
That's a lot of buildings!
