Hi guys, I got the Zvezda 1/72 100 years wars infantry and Knights boxes for both English and French. I would like to expand beyond those. What other manufacturers mix well with the minis I already have, Italieri, Airflix, Caesar? What do you recommend? Thanks. |

I am busy with same project also using zvesda ! If you look on plastic soldier review that shoul give you a good indication. I have added Caesar, Accurate, and Strelets so far. Of these Strelets are the ones that least fit but not so bad/poor that they are unuseable. This is your project and your minis so if you like them you thats all that matters really. Mine are singly based for Lion Rampant with the english having green and red colouring and the french, blue and white. |

Emhar's Medieval Crested Knights match up well if you want to beef up your French force. They have weapon and head choices to add variety. The Zvezda French Knights set seems more suited to the later Italian Wars and has a lot of ranged troopers and supernumeraries. Plastic Soldier Review is the ultimate resource. p.s. How lucky you are getting your hands on Zvezda kits! |

@ davbenbak : Yes, the Zvesda kits are great – just received their Persian Infantry for a side project today, the best 1/72 plastics by a long shot. I buy all that I see, even if I dont need them immediately. |

Hello: May I ask, are the Zvezda figures nearer to 28mm than 25mm? TIA… |
Jacques | 10 Apr 2017 12:39 p.m. PST |
@ Cheriton Between 23-25mm in my experience. So I would say they are slightly larger 1/72. |

Hi again, thanks for all the great advice, I am also single basing them and aiming to play Lion Rampant with them too, I would love to see some of your pics Jacques or anybody s work in the 100 years war period would be great. I am from USA but I am currently in Finland and will be here for at least another couple of months. Any advice on the best way to get such miniatures in Europe? how expensive is the international shipping? Thanks again guys. Cheers. |

Depending on where you are located, you might want to check the local hobby stores. Here in Helsinki we have at least three stores close to the centre (Tietonikkari, Hobby Point, Kuivalainen) that tend to have a varying selection of 1/72 scale plastic kits in stock. |

Hi Griefbringer, I am currently in Tampere, no luck withthe local stores so far. Maybe those Helsinki stores have shipping service, I ll try to reach them. Thanks. |

In case you need to resort to postal orders, you might want to look also for the bigger online retailers in Europe, since the international shipping fees are not likely to be much more. And when ordering within EU, there are no customs or taxes to be paid. |
