What is the best old book to use for the war in the Desert? North Africa and the Mediterranean, Hellfire and Back, Africa, ?????

When do you want to fight in Africa?

North Africa and the Mediterranean was the mid war book that covers between '42-'43.

Hellfire and Back is the early war book that covers '40-'41

Burning Empires is the early war book that covers extra Mediterranean stuff like Greece, Crete and Syria.

Desert War: 1940-41 is a deal that includes Hellfire and Back and Burning Empires and should be cheaper than both bought separately.

Everything else is older and IMO not as good.

LRDG etc stuff is covered in Burning Empires.
