Believe this is from the movie "Field of Lost Shoes" – focused on the role the kids at the Virginia Military Institute played just before and during the battle of New Market.

Saw it on Netflix recently

a typical pro south movie. In reality out of 257 cadets only 10 were killed. It looked like the union troops were from the Star Wars Storm trooper marks man school. Lots of firing but no hits.
