"It was back in April last year that I posted about our trip to Portmouth Historic Dockyard and the fantastic range of displays that covers the long and fascinating history of the Royal Navy. At the time we were hard pushed to get round everything and indeed one of the major attractions, namely the Mary Rose display, was not yet open due to the new building built to display the now dry remains of the wreck not being ready for public access…"

Nice article. I was in England when the brought the Mary Rose up. Visited the ship every time I was there. The last visit the museum had not opened yet. Looking forward to my next trip to see the final results. |

Went last week, I can honestly say it is one of the best museums I have ever visited. |

I've been many times to see her over the years. I en-act Surgery and was luck to be pick to show surgery at the opening of the museum. Once the public had been kick out of the Plaza (For the Victory & Mary Rose). We had a chance to look around for an hour. It was full of T.V. crews, So it was hard too look round. For my birthday last October, Jane (Better half) got me a trip to Portsmouth. We are only 45 minutes away. But life has got in the way. Seeing this post has my mouth watering again too get to see her and the (pink!) Victory. Be safe Rory |
