I am thinking of doing a US Team Yankee force that is close to what is in the Novel "Team Yankee". I want to know if this would be a competitive force. Here goes.
HQ – 2 M1 Abrams Tanks
PLatoon 1 – 4 M1 Tanks
Platoon 2 – 4 M1 Tanks
Platoon 3 – Mech Platoon wit 4 M113
Support – 2 ITVs, 2 VADS and 2 Cobra Helicopters.

Similarly,a reduced strength Soviet Motor Rifle Btn(3 -8 pt. BMP-2 companies w/BHQ and an added SA-14 team)),a full-strength T-72 company(47 pts.) Air defense(Gophers-min. of 2 vehicles and Shilka quads) and artillery assets(BM-21 battery;3 vehicles and )along with a pair of Hinds. |

I've had poor results with Cobra helicopters unless there are 4. Soviet AA usually takes out 1 fairly quickly and forces a morale test you fail 50% of the time when you only have 2. |

One of the things the game does well is show why enemy AA systems were such a high priority for US tankers to take out. Russian AA systems are cheaper in game points than the Cobras, so the Russian player does not need to expend many points to take out your air assets. |

US is right now the least competitive. The ITVs are not efficient horde killers – drop them for two more VADS as Frogfeet feast on M1s. |
