I finally got around to watching Sicario, with its intense, Zero Dark Thirty-esque gunfight sequences, and wondered if anyone has been inspired to do some anti-cartel skirmish gaming? Battles in the streets of Juarez? Clearing drug tunnels? Assaulting the fabulous compound of El Jefe? |

Sicario offered some interesting mixed military-LEO operations: Texas Rangers, Delta Force, CIA, and FBI. Could make for good multiplayer gaming with slightly different objectives or ROE. |

With the new Ghost Recon thing, it seems there should be some interest. Agree on the multiplayer scenario. You can cook up all sorts of shenanigans with this. |

Just listened to Meeples and Miniatures #198 with Tiny Terrain Models, and they have a 28mm line coming out for Central/South American drug cartel action, and some of their current ultramoderns would work for the CIA etc. too. link and link |

Spectre Miniatures has some figs tailor made for the sort of thing you suggest. NICE! Those are perfect. "Juan Valdez" might be one of the guys on all three of their lists! Exactly the scenario I was imagining. :) |

Those minis would work in my collection Timmy, I've got bunches of the Spectre figures also. I'm thinking of using Black Ops for multiplayer games and one of the more detailed sets for smaller games. This summer is my start time for working on the "drug village" and some bigger compounds. |

Random thoughts on multi player factions: Rival cartel gangs gunning it out. CIA spooks running drugs into the US on the side. Border security. Mexican military (each officer has a random chance of being on the take) Local village militia trying to keep /everybody/ out of their town. Black ops guys trying to assassinate cartel boss…and everyone else that may catch a glimpse of them. Journalist team trying to get the juiciest photos for the evening news. |

Check out the Netflix movie True Memoire of an International Assassin for inspiration of this sort. The movie is in the same vein as True Lies with Latin American three factions, govt forces, rebels and drug cartel duking it out with CIA and dea thrown in for fun mayhem. |

Act of valour is in the same theme, Navy SEALs (real ones) fighting mostly cartel people. |

Done similar using SUTC (Michael Korns double bkind umpired game of 35 years ago, Small Unit Tactical Combat) Weasel I have run several of the scenarios you list. They would need an umpire as the watchword for all of them is "who goes there" |
