"…The Scavengers flee, and eventually the Saviors are run out of Alexandria. Along the way we're treated to some awesome action shots, particularly the pairings of Ezekiel and Carol and Rick and Morgan fighting alongside each other. The newly aligned army attempts to chase Negan and the rest of the Saviors, but a crew left behind is able to ward them off with gunfire and allow them to escape back to the Sanctuary. War is just getting started.
"The First Day of the Rest of Your Life" — written by Scott M. Gimple, Angela Kang, and Matthew Negrete; and directed by Greg Nicotero — isn't quite a perfect finale, but it's damn fun and undeniably satisfying. My only real beef is with the gratuitous Sasha flashbacks and the indulgently sappy ending monologue from Maggie. While the Kingdom's just-on-time arrival was to be expected, the Scavenger's betrayal is the best twist the show has pulled off since first revealing that everyone who dies comes back as a walker. And in a show in which death has recently lost most of its power, Sasha's death was a potent sacrifice, carrying far more weight than Glenn and Abraham's (Michonne, though badly battered, survives, so no need to mourn two characters tonight).
So was Season 7 redeemed? I wouldn't go that far. The show's penchant for stalling, over-manipulating, and biting off more than it can chew can't be erased by one explosive finale. While the back half of this season was better than the first, it still suffered from those same issues. But going into yet another summer between seasons, we won't be left with a bad taste in our mouths this time around. Like Sasha with her earbuds, we too get a sweet release"

I was extremely disappointed with the show for a number of reasons.

Gave up on it some time ago.

They need to ***unexpectedly*** kill a lead. Any tension around "Coral!" getting killed falls absolutely flat on its face.

Based upon his decisions and handling of the Negan matter logic would've dictated that Rick would've been killed off. I know this is going to sound absolutely ridiculous but after being shot (albeit a gracing wound) he was kicked off a twenty foot high platform and then was able to walk away without an issue. Bull-hockey. One of the first tenants of fiction writing is to make it believable. This episode was not even close. Sunday night watching The Walking Dead is my excuse for having some alone time without my wife and the producers are working very hard to take that away from me.

I think the fight coordinator was the same from the original "A-TEAM" series: lots and lots of automatic weapons missing pointblank shots, at least when "good guys" are concerned.

But Negan continues to be the most reasonable person in the zombie apocalypse. Murder my guys in their sleep? I'll kill one of you, not everyone involved. Trying to undermine your own people? Nope. Trying to rape one of our prisoners? Try a knife in your neck instead. Foment an insurrection after plenty of warnings? I'll kill three of you, no, just one of you, instead of everyone under arms. Try to blow me up during negotiations? I'll still just kill one of you.

Sheesh. Negan's problem is that he's too reasonable, especially compared to Rick and company.

Well… he has his faults… you have to give him all your weapons (in the middle of a Zombie Post Apoc!) and your food… and if you have nothing of that… he also kill one of you…one per week!

Next step – take out the saviors or pay back to the garbage people?

I believe the greatest threat remains the saviors. They have a lot of good stuff and it seems (after you kill the leadership) your could turn the rank and file.

That said, I would love to see a little payback to the backstabbers.

Imho the Savoirs would lost… but don't know how much would be the price… probably hight…

And for the garbish people… kill them all! (smile)
