The surest sign that spring is around the corner is Cold Wars. Taking advantage of the vast open spaces of the Lancaster Host Conference center, thousands of miniature players congregate for the games uncounted. This is one of them. It's Anglo Irish vs Zulus. link Enjoy |

This would more appropriately be on a fantasy board rather than ancients or medieval. |

That is what is nice about Warrior. It covers a time period from 3000 BC to about 1600 AD. Players can build an army around a period they love and field it against any other army in that wide range. And because of the point system, it is a fair fight. You could make the "Fantasy" comment about Sumarians vs New Kingdom Egyptians. They both have chariots, but miss each other by about 500 years. Face it, I know the Zulus were 1800's but technology wise, they were not up to the Romans. Effectively, both armies here are a bunch of men armed with sharpened sticks. Truth be told, unless the Irish were facing their most hated enemies, the Irish, there are very few other historical enemies available to them. Scots, English, and Vikings are about it. Would you criticize a match-up between the Anglo-Irish and the Feudal French? It's just as much a fantasy as any other combination. |

It's a tournament. My Carthaginians did some terrible damage to Maurikian Byzantine and my Macedonian army has thrashed Vikings in tournaments. |
