I've found over the years (and from years of teaching games) that I seem to be pretty good at explaining rules to people, both to make them understand the rule, apply it in play and even invent a rationale on-the-spot if the designer didn't explain further. Hopefully makes up for mediocre painting, lacklustre tactics and poor dice rolling :D What's your thing that you are pretty decent at, whether its on the table or related to it?
Not amazing, not number 1, just pretty decent. |

Buying enough figures so there are armies for both sides. And making the other player look good. While the above two are sadly my best skills, people generally enjoy the games I set up and umpire. |

I am pretty good at painting my miniatures to make them look nice. I am pretty good at whining about my bad dice luck and personal imcompentence. |

I have been told I give good historical background narratives to set up scenarios for my friends that are only iffy about playing to begin with. |

I'm very good at figuring out what I did wrong, after the game. Too bad the chances of repeating that scenario are not all that high. |

I'm a good scenarist. And I'm very good at running games and allowing people to make their own decisions |

I'm good at explaining rules and why they do what they do – As long as I understand them in the first place. (I swear the writers of Empire were Martians) Way back when I there was a guy in our club who, given a couple of minutes to settle himself, could roll a 6 every single time on one, two or even three dice. Needless to say we kept him for those big 'must have' rolls and never, ever let him play Avalon Hill board games. My personal proof that Telekinesis existed. |

I am quite good at rolling the dice. I can usually get them all to land on the table and not bump into figures and chip them. To ameliorate the latter problem I have taken to using rubber dice or throw the dice in a box. I don't like a dice rolling tower because I like them to bounce around. More often than not the dice that I roll do not end up cocked. |

I'm a decent terrain maker, or at least my terrain is better made than my gaming friends' is. I also seem to be good at getting excited about rules, and then those rules falling flat with those same people, no matter how pretty the terrain. |

I read the rules, unlike my gaming buddies. I am a fast reader with a good memory. I find this helps quite a lot:) |

Good host, calculate odds well, hardly ever concede. The last means if you are winning, you get to enjoy your victory. I don't throw in the towel when you get the upper hand, unless you have totally crippled my force. On the other hand, I'm most dangerous when wounded. I actually start to think and take risks. |
