I won't be using this for actual Warzone Resurrection … probably for 40k (Grimdark Future actually) or some fast-play skirmish games. I got the kit for cheap, which was nice because I spent an hour filing down mold lines and still didn't get 'em all. Eventually I just covered up the more egregious mold lines with bits and greebles and slapped some paint on it.

"In the grim darkness of the far future, there is …" … hold on … how do the treads on the tracks fit below the rear "thingy" (sorry … and I used to be a tankie! … the shame of it all…) … See what i mean?

Otherwise fantastic (in fact, it's fantastic anyway … I'm just being … me)

Haha! I never looked at it that way. Don't look too closely, I'm sure there's plenty more that doesn't make sense on this thing!

Dwindling Gravitas, as a lifelong tanker wannabe (sayeth the intake SGT, "19 kilo, you want to be a TANK DRIVER?" in incredulous tones), don't examine the GW-style tracks too closely. There are some that I'm not sure where the track goes. let alone the lack of suspension travel, etc…

Dont' get me wrong, I love the style, but there are parts that make me go, 'Huh?'

(Oddly, it's the Baneblade superheavy that seems to have the most 'logical, realistic' track setup. It just probably weighs 300+ tons. The recovery vehicle must be really impressive. Then again, this a setting where they carry giant (100+ ft) semi-sentient walkers around in grav transports, instead of…just arming the grav transports. Because walkers are scarier.)

Oh, yeah, almost forgot – the tank looks great!

Love your PI troops and the MDF ruins – very inspiring!

At least it's not just me :-)

And as I said, it looks fantastic :-)

Nice work on a cool looking tank model.

For those who find practical faults with this design you should see the rest of the Warzone vehicles. They'll drive you bonkers.

The mould lines on my Leviathan were also pretty bad. Filler putty and files to the rescue. But yeah, Mutant Chronicles isn't strong on the whole rational design ethic thing. The new Fenris Bikes are three wheeled lawn tractors and the old Death Angel golf cart had a ten foot tall stone statue on the back of it and a tribarrel gun where the engine might have been. Flintstones propulsion for the win!

Still, I love MC for its silliness not in spite of it.

Oh my! :) First, the tank looks great. I'll have to check that line out a little more closely. (And be prepared to improvise around imperfections.)

Second, nvdoyle and Dwindling Gravitas, I haven't laughed so hard in a little while. Yeah, sci-fi has some stupid. Some of it you accept because, hey, you like the models. Some of it you bin. Having just tried my hand at sci-fi vehicle design I can accept that making something look both "spacey" and "practical" is actually a kind of a challenge. (Um, what's the center of mass on that shuttle exactly? And just don't look too closely at the landing gear. It's meant to be sitting on the ground most of the time where I hope you won't ever see them too closely.) This is what happens when you let star struck artists (like me maybe) design vehicles outside the supervision of the engineering team and any and all end users save teenage boys.

Anyway, great work and . . . oddly satisfying thread. :)
