Hi All

Last months update
TMP link

Well March madness struck me big time and I was super productive.

Bought
6mm – 2 (Leven Desert forts)

Painted
6mm – 192 (Egyptians for the Sudan)
28mm – 33 (Arabs and terrain)

Monthly Profit = +223 (WOWSER)
Yearly Profit = +305

So a fantastic month for me, but it has highlighted that I need to buy about 1000 6mm figs for my Sudan stuff.

Plan
1) Paint more of my 6mm Sudan (including the forts)
2) Paint my border reivers (4 figs to go)

MH
:-)

My month chalked up a first for me in a long time… a big fat ZERO on painting and purchases. Between getting our house on the market for sale, three weekend events in one month and a lot of work, no painting for me.

I did finish a lot of terrain pieces for GaryCon IX. Here are the links to my two albums showing the terrain and minis in action:

Started and ended the month with 218 to paint.
I'm up by 40 for the year.

Goal for April: Get a bit of time to put brush to metal!

Just can't get started painting again. All things considered I was pretty good at Adepticon.

Who stole February? Situation remains the same:
Bought: 51
Painted: 0

YTD: -51

I decided, though I am not Catholic, to not purchase books or anything miniature related during Lent. That has certainly helped my counts. I did have a few things show up that were purchased previously so I do have some stuff in the bought column.

Bought

24 – 28mm WW2 Americans
28 – 28mm WW@ Russians
71 – 28mm Samurai (Test of Honor Preorder)

Painted

340 – 15mm SYW Austrians back from the painter
10 – 28mm Samurai

This Month
Bought – 123
Painted – 350
Total for March – 227

YTD

Amount Forward – -116
This month – 227
YTD 111

Back in the Black Yes!

Aprils goal will be to paint about 150 figs and not purchase any. Though my Tercio KS will probably show up….

I did a little bit of painting though I didn't finish anything, but a lot more selling off the lead pile. It's smaller now.

Start: +394
Painted: 0
Bought: 0, and that's 0 for the year!
Sold: 427, cleaned out a bunch of stuff, Warhammer, Flying Monkeys, Lord of the Rings, a mini-mountain of stuff.
End: +821

Grelber31 Mar 2017 10:22 p.m. PST

I painted a staggering total of seven figures--six of them 28mm, the other 40mm.
On the bright side, I didn't buy any figures this month, and probably won't buy any in April or May, as I save up for a big order.

Grelber will be pleased that I had a much less productive month – or maybe he won't care since he's already posted his progress. : )

I semi-finished and based and textured the bases for 104 figures, all 15 mm French and Indian War native warriors, two units, and the Sachem stands, two, and associated casualty figures. Did do a little work on two more units, another of native warriors and my third and final provincial unit for the British in FIW, a tan and brown coated unit in hunting shirts (I know, I know – and I don't care, l like them). I say semi-finished because after texturing the bases I decided I really need to do some rework, not just touch up, on a majority of those 104 figures. But, heck, they're based and textured!

Did get some horses base painted but probably less than fifty and didn't get to the flesh wash on all those figures that got worked on in February.

Bought none.

In danger of large purchase later in the year if a rumor I've heard (and cannot share) turns out to be true.

April is hard to predict, because next weekend is a local convention I will attend and play at – but little danger of purchasing figures there. But always hoping for progress.

Tiberius02 Apr 2017 11:05 p.m. PST

Bought 20 Foundry late Roman, Arthurian cavalry which will arrive soon.

Finished painting none

YTD
Bought 20 28mm
Finished 20 15mm

DOUGKL06 Apr 2017 3:16 p.m. PST

Nothing bought.
Painted 8 hoplites

Started a number of figures and I am working on some conversions. In addition I based and flocked a number of figures. So while not much painting was completed work that needed to be finished was done.

Reduced the led pile by 72 figures YTD.
