Two Tiger tanks is not a "platoon", or even a zug (German name for platoon). It is a "section" of a platoon. |

It'll be interesting to see how the Honeys compare to PSC's offering. I've just picked up the El Alamein box and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the Grant and Crusader models. 15mm Bolt Action 8th Army? Yes please. |

I was hoping that after PSC increased the amount of Universal Carriers in a box to match BF's that BF would lower the price of their Stuarts to match PSC's in response. |

I heard an anecdote very much 3d hand. However, it sounded somewhat reasonable. France WWII, an M5 Stuart encounters a Tiger I breaking thru the woods. The Stuart crew immediately jumped out of their tank just as the Tiger fired and KO'd the M5. Some of the crew were injured by schrapnel, etc. But all ran away to fight another day. They knew they couldn't out run the 88mm, there was no where to hide from the Tiger. And their 37mm would do little to nothing to the Tiger. I'd guess running away was the better part of valor that day. If the incident is true and to be believed … it does not sound too farfetched … |

Just a point of note as regards PSC – BF plastic vehicles: The BF Box Sets do include decals and the Unit Cards (Now used in V4 FOW) The PSC boxes while less expensive, do not include either of those two items! Also, the PSC Tiger I box actually only contains 4 Tiger I models now. |

"Jeb Stuart" tank gets the Tiger every time. Those "special JEb APDS(cap)" rounds do wonders on Tigers. But will deflect off the common jeep or H/T. |

I wonder how many Honeys an 88mm round would pass thru before it exploded? |

Legion 4, I read another (documented) story of how during the Sicily campaign a lone Tiger from the Herman Goering Division saw the dust of seventeen approaching tanks and the crew panicked and abandoned the Tiger and ran for the rear. But the approaching tanks were all M3 Stuarts! |

Two Tigers and three Pz IIIN's made up a early Tiger Zug. |

That is an interesting story too Scott. Who knows what the crews were thinking at the time, etc. ? But it seems like many in a war. They don't want to get killed ! |

and if either happen in a game well, the melt down would be entertaining. who knows may be the tiger was waiting for gas and the Americans, there are always more tanks.

Two Tiger tanks is not a "platoon", or even a zug (German name for platoon). It is a "section" of a platoon. Or it's what's left of a Tiger platoon after a fairly short road march! Perhaps a follow on set, which brings the platoon up to strength, are the remaining Tigers in disabled mode being worked on by grease monkeys. Maybe toss in a wrecker a assorted repair units… |

who knows may be the tiger was waiting for gas and the Americans, there are always more tanks. Indeed … the "fog of war", etc., etc. Or the modern phrase … "S T happens ! |
