No, they're too small for me to get inside.

Yes, several.

Read a book about it a long time ago. Does that count?

zoneofcontrol29 Mar 2017 6:03 a.m. PST

No, but launched one in somebody's hat once.

Oh, wait… Did you say "ship"?

No. A fleet of bottles takes up too much room on the table top and do not play nice when gaming on the patio.

How do you base a bottle?

dampfpanzerwagon Fezian29 Mar 2017 7:53 a.m. PST

No but Dad used to and I marvel at the skill it must have taken.

Since Dad passed, I have some of his modelling tools which I regularly use.

I own one of his ships in a bottle and it takes pride of place in my display cabinet.

Yes – but not well

Step 1: Fill the bottle half full of water.

Step 2: Cap or plug the bottle.

Step 3: Lay the bottle on it's side.

Step 4: Show off your ship in the bottle.

Step 5: When asked "But where is the ship?"

Step 6: Answer, "It sank."

;-)

You'll need to colour the water first!

You could also affix a label saying U77 or similar – when they ask why they can't see the submarine, "It's submerged, stupid!"

Here's how I'd do it:

Easy!

Nope, but these folks made a ship FROM bottles!
