Lone Star Historical Miniatures (LSHM) group in Austin Texas tested out the new Samurai game from Warlord Games. Dragon's Lair Austin provided the store space and Pete Atack and crew tested out the game:

Thanks for the info and I'll be curious to read a full review. There definitely seems to be a trend with the Osprey rules among others for 60-90 minute games that focus on the action with players just needing a few figures and limited record keeping. That's fine, but after awhile every game seems the same and there's limited depth. I was hoping that this system might have been a bit meatier, but it doesn't sound like it.

FWIW, 'advanced' rules are in the future.
