I think they called it a recreation room or something like that in that cartoon, but the idea of holodecks didn't really come about until TNG… |

I am pretty sure that it was a holodeck. Maybe not called a holodeck, but it had the same function. It has been years ago, but I read an article in which Gene Rodenberry stated that he wanted to use the holodeck in TOS, but didn't have the technology for the visuals and that is why it was introduced in TAS. |

You can see it here.. there are elements, but not a pure holodeck. Uhura is saying if they keep walking, they would feel a wall eventually, and then find the exit. Not a pure holodeck in my opinion. Youtube link to the rec room: YouTube link |
