I am about to paint these figures myself. Did you prime your figures first and if so what color/shade? What colors did you use for the boots, pants and coats? I use Vallejo and GW paints. Also what wash or dip did you use? |

Thanks everyone! @davbenbak I primed them using Rustoleum Army Green Camo and then highlighted them with a Reaper Master Pale Olive/Vallejo Highlighted Feldgrau mixture. I then washed in most of the clothing colors over top the highlights. And then brought them back up a bit with lighter shades. For the green I believe I used Reaper Master Olive Drab/Swamp Green mixture and the pants I used Reaper Master lighter off blue(can't recall the name at the moment). The boots base were a cheaper Walmart Bland paint color called Pavement(its great for a black with subtle bluish tint, I used it alot). I then drybushed Reaper (Coldstone Grey I think it is) for subtle highlight. I washed the entire figure with a home-made wash I mix using acrylic floor wax, water and tints of black/brown paint. Finally, sealed with Testors dullcote to protect and provide a matte finish over the gloss of the final wash. – Cheers! Erik |

Thanks. I was thinking of mixing the floor wax with brown wood stain but am a little worried about the figures coming out too dark especially since I will already be using an acrylic wash. Thanks the tip about testors dull coat. |

What glue do you use and how does it hold? |
