Hey all, new to the forums.

My question is if anyone has had any luck finding some scarab or beetle swarms in 15mm scale. Or flies or ladybugs (easily adapted to look like scarabs). Im thinking 3 on a .5in base.

The closest thing I can find are the 40k Necron Scarabs, but wouldnt be able to fit 3 on a .5in base…

Thanks,
NATE

Three of them on a half inch base? Essentially, how small do you mean for the bugs to be? 8mm* or so? Less?

And do you mean with the area on the base all to themselves, or with an existing figure already standing on that base (as if the bugs were already swarming around his/her feet)?

Wow! I'm gonna have to put my thinking cap on and see what I can find.

*EDIT – Found these: auction
Also, these could be split to make a couple each:

Tiny hole-punched, styrene plastic circles mounted on a base.

Beetles are rather small, even big ones, in any scale other than 1:1.

Some bugs are bigger in some places:

Yea, I see what you mean.

Irradiated ones grow rather large:

Here's one way to deal with them:

IIRC though, flamethrowers work better.

That is awesome! Now I feel like watching that film again.

Reaper has some, 28mm, but hey, who cares?

For my scarab swarms I use actual Scarab Swarms.
D&D MINIATURES ROT SCARAB SWARM
Ready painted. Just did mine sand colour over the black base
BUT it is a 1 inch base
For doing the bidding of my Mummy against Indy, they work really well.
