"The War in Mexico" by Anton Adams. Emperor's Press, 1998. Written by a fellow wargamer. |

If you can find them, Santa Ana Rules has scenarios for many of the battles. You just need to work them out for your rules. |

Here's a second for "The War in Mexico" by Anton Adams. This is an indispensable resource for wargaming the Mexican-American War. I also recently purchased "On the Prairie of Palo Alto," and it is very thorough on that particular battle with an excellent chapter on weapons, equipment, and tactics applicable to the entire war. Also I just checked the link provided by Major Mike above, and found some really excellent items there, especially the battle reports in the site provided by the Descendants of Mexican War Veterans. |

Thanks for the recommendations to pick up Anton Adams' book. I ordered it via Abe.com and it came in four days. And the book is outstanding, every bit as good as you all said it would be. |
