Kicked of the Kampfgruppe Von Luck pint sized campaign for Chain of Command with our first game on Thursday evening. This is a simple patrol scenario. The British Airborne are not yet up to full strength with men still arriving from the drop zones and so this is really a stalling scenario and a chance to begin inflicting some casualties on the Germans. Any attempt at a full scale defence is pointless and would only serve to make the German's job easier in subsequent games. In the end this was straightforward for the Germans and a full report is on my blog:

Simple yet fun. Effective barrage markers, too.

Looks like fun. Campaigns make games so much better.

I also like your way of organizing your off table forces.

This is the last Pint Size campaigns booklets I have to buy yet…so is this your first game in the campaign?

I take it Brit Airborne vs regular Germans?

Thanks for sharing?

redmist1122 yes, first game. More if you follow the link above to my blog, but this starts with a patrol scenario. Airborne are still arriving from the DZ so the Paras must roll to see who turns up. Germans are Panzer grenadiers not regulars, so the Paras must face a hail of MG42 fire!

Chain of Command really shines with these great campaigns and plenty more to follow with talk of Bulge and Stalingrad in the offing.
