Hi all. It's been a while, but the latest installment of my X-Men Super Mission Force campaign is up! Can the X-Men stop the next Breeder Bomb from detonating? The Soviet Super Soldiers say NYET!!!

Check out the AAR at Dead Dick's Tavern! Comments always welcome, there or here!

I remember The Breeder Bombs as being a very train-tracked scenarios …

I've been waiting for this…and it's got the Soviet Super Soldiers too! One of my favourite second-tier Marvel teams. Although the Crimson Dynamo 'clix figure I've always felt was slightly underwhelming and the pose of Red Guardian is a bit static. However, where's Vanguard? I can't recall if there's a 'clix figure for him and you made a good call replacing the Ursa Major figure.
I wonder if it would have gone differently if the SSS had been made up of Crimson Dynamo, Red Guardian, Sputnik, Fantasma and Perun, like in the Cap issue where the original three tried to defect to the U.S.?

emckinney: Yeah, they're pretty bad. I changed a fair bit of the original plot for the good of the scenarios…check the earlier stuff out if so inclined!

Thanks, Crow. I didn't include Vanguard because there isn't a Clix model for him, although this guy did a truly inspirational conversion:

I just didn't have the time for that, so I opted for Red Guardian instead. I agree his pose is underwhelming…you should see the factory paint job! I did my best repainting him as he was originally a bright red (almost pink) and had a blue shield with a red star(something I've never seen in the comics).

More SMF genius from you! Thank you so much for sharing this!

Joe D. is making good progress on the layout. More preview pages soon!

Thanks again, Scott. You have a great system here.

Quick question: a while back you mentioned you added a power called Jinx to the rules…I can't seem to find it on the latest playdoc. Was this subsequently omitted? I ask only because the next scenario features the Scarlet Witch, and it seems like a power she would likely have.

Also, are you planning on selling hardcopies of the rules or just PDF format?

Up next is the grand finale to the campaign. I'm busy getting my scenery painted and ready and should be able to post it by next weekend! Thanks to all who have followed this!!

The rules will be sold as both a PDF and an A5 sized, spiral bound book from Lulu. So it will be POD.

Here's the text for Jinx:

Jinx (minor)
You can curse others with bad luck! Make a 5D, 15" ranged Psyche attack. If you score more goals than your opponent, then he will have the TNs for all rolls he has to make on his next turn increased by one. Also, any movement actions taken will require a TN3 check (not increased by the Jinx), with one Body lost per goal missed--from tripping, exploding manhole covers, falling pianos, etc. Targets cannot suffer the effects of more than one jinx at once.

Example: Crimson Harridan tries to put the Jinx on Ox (11" away). She rolls and scores 4 goals; Ox defends and scores 2 goals! Any TN Ox faces on his next turn increase by +2! When Ox moves on his turn, he makes his TN3 check and scores only 1 goal and suffers 2 lost Body from the Harridan's Jinx!

Thanks, again!
