Just wanted to ask anyone's opinion about professionally produced wargaming mats, the pre-painted sort you throw over a couple of books on a table, add trees and houses, etc. Any makers you prefer ??? Thanks!!!

I have bought a lot of mats over the years and must say that Cigar Box Battle Mats are the best I've ever owned. They drape beautifully over books, sculpted hills etc. I use mine over Hexon and Terrain Guy hills and it looks great.

Not sure who makes them for FoW,but from what I've seen, those specific ones look decent.

Another vote for Cigar Box. I use pieces of carpet padding under mine to get some variation in the ground.
