Are there any manufacturers who make 28mm 16th/17th Century Japanese, Korean, and Chinese Pirates? Particularly for the 1582 Cagayan battles?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

I can't speak to their historical accuracy, but Eureka Miniatures has 28mm Chinese Pirates.

Part of Foundry and Old Glory ranges would work fine.

The Perrys have two splendid lines for Japanese and Korean, mainly for the Imjin war. Not sure wether any of these can be used for Pirates, though…

As others have suggested, perhaps perry's korean Guerillas:

The Chinese and Korean pirates often adopted the appearance of the Japanese Wako Pirates to disguise their origins and indeed some bands were multi-cultural (including at times renegade Portuguese). I would use any Japanese bandit/peasants figures, unarmoured (except for leaders and standard bearers) armed with Japanese swords, bows and the occasional matchlock.

Has the Scheltrum line disappeared?

Forlorn Hope have a dedicated Wako range;

Its likely that their ranks contained large numbers of Korean and Chinese pirates too.

Scheltrum is still in business. I haven't seen their Wako pirates but their 28mm Koreans look great. They also make a 28mm Wako pirate ship.

Their website is down but you can email them at scheltrum@gpa-humphries.co.uk.
