Interesting. I wonder who is working on the rules? |

I wonder what scale and will the minis be TV series based or book series based. Could be fun. |

The press release does say based on the books. This is a smart investment based on a huge IP. Now if there was only a company out there who had the capital to get the license from Disney for a Star Wars miniatures game. |

Read the press release – looks good: based on books; Dark Sword does great work (though large). Concerns: kickstater, don't know much about company, I think I have played Zombiecid – pretty generic design. Anyone familiar with their games? TomT |

Cmon is big guys. Had some multimillion Kickstarter projects. I took part in 2 of those, they delivered everything, the deals were great. If I remember well, Zombicide Black Plague was a bit late, they had an issue to keep the pace with the overwhelming number of orders. Great figures. |

Dark Sword minis are great but they are quite expensive and more like 32mm than 28. It's going to be expensive to field a large force. However I am hopeful that they will produce a new line just for the game and it looks as though that might be in plastic which would surely keep the price down. Hey, I'm all for doing the tournament at Harrenhall, if possible. I am just concerned that it looks like the minis might be already painted which would not really thrill me. I will be interested to see how well they are able to show combat from small skirmish to huge battles, that almost never works IMO. Still I don't want to seem negative off of a press release, this might be a KS that I can back. |

Someone just noted in the comments that they "checked" and the figures will be inscale with Dark Sword's current range. It means they will be much to large to use with anyother range. I've got some Dark Sword but due to size and price ended up doing all my Ice and Fire armies with Fireforge/Perry Brother plastics. Plastic should hold down cost and I may get some use out my old metal figures. (By the way if you want to command the great houses before 2018, I'm running Battle for the Iron Throne games at both NashCon and Historicon). Thomas J. Thomas Fame and Glory Games |
