Below are links to some Frostgrave Reviews I have done over on my Blog, Must Contain Minis.

Frostgrave is a fun and simple game to learn. There are official miniatures to the game, but players are allowed to use whatever miniatures they want including miniatures by other companies.

I'm getting into this game myself, just invested in the rulebooks and some sets of their official miniatures. Also making winter terrain for it…

…thanks for the reviews, great information!

The games are a ton of fun. Very swingy and random with the d20, but very fun. Keep your Wizard safe. :)

I'd like to start playing Frostgrave. Are the rules written to be played in a frozen environment? In other words are the charts/tables, characters and modifiers refer to a frozen environment?

This game looks great and most reviews would support that. I have the core rules, Thaw of the Lich Lord and Into the Breeding Pits.

What I don't have is someone to play against.

I can understand not having people to play. That is part of the reason I champion it in my area. You might find there are more people playing this game informally in their basements than you realize. :)

Tekawiz – The setting is a frozen environment, but you could easily play this in whatever setting you want. Even a desert if your opponents are up to it.
