Sitting in an airport, listening to announcements about boarding opportunities, boarding experiences. Why not just boarding? Do we need the additional hokey word? Makes me think of the line from store cashiers, next guest please. Guests don't pay, customers do. Yeah, it's early. Grumble. |

It's all a load of bollox. We used to have a Police Force. Apparently it sounded too threatening so we now have a Police Service. And when you travel on a train you're not a passenger anymore…. |

1984 should be put back on required reading lists George Carlin on boarding experiences: YouTube link

Naffing "political correctness". Invented and used with relish by sad tosspots! |

Be happy that they are not offering you a water boarding experience on your flight. |

> Guests don't pay, Never stayed at a hotel I take it? I think the PC about PC is more of a pain these days then the PC… Besides – the real annoyance started when employees started being called associates. |

I'm not concerned about PC, but about the creeping bastardization of language. |

Better give up on English then, if it weren't for language bastardization it wouldn't exist. |

Be thankful they're not using cattle prods to herd you into those overstuffed, flying, aluminium (superfluous vowel added for emphasis for my English cousins), cattle cars. |

My company recently had layoffs. The CEO referred to them as "Activity Based Separations". I wonder how much sleep he lost coming up with that alternative phrase for layoffs? He seemed to think that he was doing people a favor by letting them go so that they could have a nice experience finding new employment. |

"Be happy that they are not offering you a water boarding experience on your flight." But if they do, insist on only the best, and ask for Schweppes… ;-) |

Incorporating foreign words and slang is fine with me. What I don't like is the insipid styling of corporate drones about 'experience ' and the like so they can empty my wallet. |
