I've been looking at both Grandt-Line and Tichey Train O and S scale doors and wwindows for an 18th century building. Anyone use these? I know S scale is closer, but the selection in flat panel doors is almost zilch. Grandt has more options but they same pretty big in proportion to a figure (not including a vase) Ideas? Carl |

I've been happy with the Tichy Train O Scale products. The doors at first seem too tall and narrow (they are to scale--it's just that 28mm figures are broad-shouldered), but they look fine on buildings. Here is a blog (not mine) that talks about the Tichy products (with photos!): link

This is very timely as I am about to go to a model train shop to look for stuff for an 18th C Philadelphia project. Thanks! |

Hi Carl, if you have specific dimensions and a general design for doors and windows I could probably laser-cut them for you. Either 1.6mm thin HDF or thin cardboard/chipboard or even a combination of both. I also have extremely thin and sturdy laserboard which is a bit more expensive though. I have used Grandt Line S Scale doors and windows for over 20 years and they make wonderful products. |

Yes, I have used Grandt line for buildings for many years and like them. They also have LOTS of options. |
