Not suitable for soft ground of any kind, I suppose, but they'd work in rocky and urban areas, as well inside and on the outsides of space vehicles. |

I tend to vote for 6 or 8 legs – loose a leg or two, no problems. With 4 legs, a damaged leg would cause major mobility problems, specially if they are arranged evenly around the rim. There is a reason Arthropodia have at least 6 legs as designed. |
