Thought I'd upload my first finished napoleonic infantry battalion. These are perry, but with some of the bardin uniforms transferred to other in progress warlord battalions. Hopefully I've got the uniforms right?(19eme)
And a big gun from warlord (10th company 6th regiment) It looks a bit shiny in the photo, but it's not really.

Look good to me, although no "expert" on French. |

Not sure if they are right or not but they do look nice. |

Look both right and great – including the grenadiers and voltigeurs! |

Nice work. That shiny effect still throws me off on occasion, no matter how much I try to experiment with lighting and think I have got it right. |

Thanks for the comments. Glad I got the uniforms right. Not works of art like some of the figures on here, but good enough for dinning room table battles.:-) I took the photo's with an Ipad, 'How to take photos of minis' is a whole other subject I've not explored yet. No doubt there's a forum for that! |

You bet there is………. TMP link Lighting, everything is about getting enough light into your camera. If you have tripod or even something to rest your camera upon and a timer (so you press and it shoots after a few seconds) that is a good start. A long exposure then allows you to close the shutter (f32 for me) and get maximum depth of field. Daylight can be very harsh for miniatures. A few cheap spotlights far better, but remember the white balance too. |
