2017 is the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad, and Tony Rieger and Co. will be marking the event at Huzzah! 2017 with a variety of Stalingrad themed games, with wide support from the wargaming industry.

Starting Saturday of the show, each session of the convention will see 28mm Stalingrad games using Bolt Action, ASL Stalingrad scenarios, and then a wide range of other miniature and board games in the Stalingrad lineup.

Joerg Bender of Things From the Basement has been working with Tony Rieger over the past several months to create new buildings for the 28mm Stalingrad games. He will be releasing Pavlov's House (pictured above) and the Central Railway Station, which will be available for sale at Huzzah! 2017. Visit Things From the Basement thingsfromthebasement.com

Thomas Stoessen of Stoessi's Heroes will be releasing two new figures to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad. The figures, Junior Sargeant Yakov Pavlov and Oberleutnant Friedrich Winkler, will be available at Huzzah! 2017. Visit Stoessi's Heroes stoessisheroes.com

Warlord Games will be at Huzzah! to run Bolt Action games and support the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad. They will have people onsite, along with prizes and sponsored activities. Visit Warlord Games us-store.warlordgames.com

Eureka Miniatures has recently released Russian Factory Militia and Partisans, many of which will be featured in the 28mm Bolt Action games running all weekend. Eureka Miniatures USA will be attending Huzzah! as a vendor. eurekaminusa.com

Huzzah! and Tony Rieger have received official recognition from the Russian Federation Federal State Institution of Culture and the State Historical and Memorial Museum-Reserve "The Battle of Stalingrad" for the events at Huzzah!

The Russian Federation commemorates the day of Victory of the battle, so for them, it's done on Feb 2nd (1943) understandably so, as this is when the siege was lifted, and the 6th Armee was forced to surrender. The Invasion of the city happened on August 23rd (1942) which they reserve as a nation day of mourning.
