We're looking at doing a Spectre Operations campaign based on Russian Special forces in Syria. Looking for good uniform, vehicle and terrain references for painting and modeling both sides or possibly even descriptions of day to day ops for scenarios. I haven't actually been able to find as much as I expected with Google, and I am guessing maybe there are some forums and such I don't know about that perhaps you do.

I did find this interesting Russian propaganda video

There are a few vids on You Tube, have a look on RT.com too……..the first liberation of Palmyra was well covered by news crews and the Russian deployment around their base at the port ……allegedly they combat trialled several BTR90's or up armoured BTR80's there…..

There are plenty of good photos if you do a Google image search for "Russian special forces Syria". Likewise a Google search for videos will produce some good results. Good luck!

Cheers and good hunting.

Thanks guys, I've found that Google turns up mostly the same sets of pics over and over again or "representative" photos that aren't that useful. I will keep digging. I guess that events are so recent that there's not much out there yet. Sometimes on forums/instagram etc you hit a jackpot of photos that haven't been widely published. Will letcha know if I find anything good…
