What should the collective noun for a group of wargamers be?

After a memorable incident at last year's Briscon, I'm going with "Waft".

Ragbones05 Mar 2017 7:17 a.m. PST

How about a "roll?" We roll dice. And some of us sport a middle age roll around our waist. wink

Hafen von Schlockenberg05 Mar 2017 7:48 a.m. PST

"Wrangle"?

Of course, that suggestion may have been influenced by a recent browse through the Napoleonics boards. . .

Mako1105 Mar 2017 7:56 a.m. PST

I prefer gaggle.

Kropotkin30305 Mar 2017 8:19 a.m. PST

With all the bickering it could be a Division.

Perhaps a Horde. Maybe a Battalion. Depending on the size and the organisation, or lack of it.

"I say Curruthers, do you see that shocking rout of wargamers over at the other table?"

How about a "nerdle"?

"Gaggle of gamers" has a nice alliterative quality.

Lots of good suggestions here already!

coryfromMissoula05 Mar 2017 1:44 p.m. PST

A table for less than a dozen.

The Beast Rampant05 Mar 2017 1:45 p.m. PST

How about "horde"…or better yet, "hoard", since that what most of us do with miniatures.

Jakar Nilson05 Mar 2017 2:04 p.m. PST

A frother of gamers.

A disputation. Though a cluster might also be appropriate.

Winston Smith05 Mar 2017 9:31 p.m. PST

A pedantry of wargamers.

Rod I Robertson06 Mar 2017 12:30 a.m. PST

A "squabble" of gamers.

Cheers.
Rod Robertson.
