Hello, all,

Just put up some images of Austrian Hussars from the Battle Honors 1859/66/70 line--painted as Hungarians in the Hungarian Revolt.

I haven't seen examples of these anywhere (painted), so hopefully my study will be of interest to others who may have these figs.

Very nice. Like something out of "The Prisoner of Zenda" or "The Great Race."

An interesting yet overlooked period. Those castings might even work for the later conflict as Hungarian Hussars serving Maximilian in Mexico.

Funny you should mention it. This is exactly the gestalt I'm working towards with the "Chocolate Box Wars/Armies" project. Although I'm trending historical, in the end it should lend itself perfectly to imaginations of the era.

They look great, Ed! The 18mm Hungarian hussars I painted took me the longest time to get in all that trim and colors, etc but they do look cool.

Keep up the good work!
