Chums at Aventine have produced some stunning new resin elephants which I have received samples of.

These are even better than Aventine's previous metal elephants, which really is saying something as Aventine already produce some of the very best pachyderms out there. More about them on t'blog:-

Not sure if I trust light weight elephants!

I already have a metal aventine elephant named George. And if he suddenly gets those light weight friends, they will make fun of him calling him fat.

Thanks Simon – saw them on the Aventine web site and agree they look great. Already have far too many Aventine nellies but am a sucker for quality additions to the herd.

The Macedonian astride option appeals and I do support your push for an Indian option.

Naming them, now that's a splendid idea!

Always name your elephants.. Ajax is popular!

I am going to need some of these… although I just finished one of the heavy brutes!!

All my elephants will have British royal names. Next one will be William

Mine are names after titans: Kronos, Oceanus and Creus.

These are truly amazing sculpts.
