If at the end of Star Trek 4 they were approaching something like that, it would have been much cooler. However, suppose it was just cheaper to slap a "-A" on the existing model. |

It is not supposed to be (and isn't) canon A or canon B. It is some modeller's vision of what A would look like if he (or she) had his or her way. It is a sort of interesting transition between TOS 1701 and Excelsior – some elements of both. Hate the nacelles though. |
