Thank you Armand – very much enjoyed the first series (anachronisms excepted), but generally good acting and fine entertainment. |

I'll watch it…but I was a bit put off by how very Orlando Bloom-ish the lead playing Uhtred is, with his nifty little goatee and all. Anyways, gotta love any attempt at doing Dark Ages action and adventure in entertainment. |

Except his father was an Ealderman from Northhumbria. Series One could have been so much better with a few tweaks, and still have been just as entertaining for a 'general' audience. I shall still watch series Two though… |

If you're going to make the effort to produce a historical drama series, how difficult can it be to get obvious things like shield shapes correct? Who was the historical advisor on season one again, and how much were they paying him or her I wonder? Even a wargamer would have spotted the fubars. Still looking forward to it though. |

I think they pick different shield shapes so you can tell the two sides apart. They should have found a better way. In Game of Thrones they could have used the houses respective hearldry but instead put everyone in weird armor. Latter seasons getting better though. TomT |
