Tango- YOU found it so it is YOUR responsibility to squash it and clean it up. Give it a good rinse with bleach once you are finished. |

You need someone with the very special skill set that underlies these famous lines: I only need to know one thing. Yes? Where they are. |

Is it true Microsoft have asked Bill for the Bug's code so they can incorporate it into the next version of Windows? |
Mako11 | 01 Mar 2017 8:12 p.m. PST |
No need. I'm sure it's already there. |

No need. I'm sure it's already there. I will put in a plug here for Mark Twain's "historical" novel about Joan of Arc. That's my favorite version of the story. It was his favorite work and he took twelve years on it, running the manuscript under his wife's critical eye. I have only seen snatches of the Mila movie, and it seems excellent, so I bought the DVD (yet to view it). The Ingrid Bergman portrayal is excellent. But if you want to get into the spirit of this story, I recommend the silent film, "The Passion of Joan of Arc" (Criterion edition). Watch it with Richard Einhorn's "movie score" going. My belief about what Joan of Arc was is that she was inspired not insane. Arguably they are the same thing, or the one can lead to the other. True inspiration can make a mind insane. It won't rest until the vision is complete. Failure to accomplish the vision will bring on madness. There was nothing irrational about following the commands of a girl in plate armor who was a winner. Everybody back then believed in angels and demons. Depending on which side you were on, Joan was listening to one or the other………….. |

You see, The Bug is with me. I can spam that post instantly from any "Comment" pane on TMP/Plus. Bill opines that it isn't a TMP issue; that the problem is my special issue. Yet this keeps cropping up only on TMP/Plus, nowhere else on the Net, not even the Bluey Fezzy. It first manifested last fall, went away for a day, returned for a while, then vanished for a couple of months. For most of a month now, the phenomenon has been with me again, with, like last time, a one day hiatus (reprieve). It is very tiresome, since I must copy my post, paste it in over the Joan of Arc text, and restore any links, when I want to edit a post. So! Either part of Microsoft's Windoze Ten, which targets only TMP/Plus, or some weird interface between my Net connection and TMP/Plus, take my pick. Either one sucks……………….. |

Maybe the Bug and Bill are one and the same in a Jekyll and Hyde sort of way? Have they ever been seen in the same room together? Might explain Bill's reluctance to destroy the Bug… |

Bill's a Star Trek fan, isn't he? Maybe the Bug is like the Borg and he's been absorbed into the Hive Mind, so to kill the Bug would be unthinkable. |
