Does anyone make these? I'm toying with the idea of doing something a bit different with Team Yankee. As it is, the vast majority of the photos I see online are of games set in the pristine German countryside. Everything is clean and untouched. I'm thinking of making a table and terrain that are a bit more – distressed. If I can find figures to match I'd be very happy. |

Any war would have been fought in the stuff! When we left barracks until endex, often a month, we would be in noddy kit! Tally Ho! |

Agreed. I was in the USMC in the late 80's myself. We weren't in Germany, but spent plenty of time in MOPP gear nonetheless. I've always found "Team Yankee" to be a bit too clean myself. |

I hope you find some and cannot wait to see the pictures of your terrain, everyone should at least be at MOPP 2. |

Sadly no one does any 15s in noddy suits, as Nick says it's what everyone would have been wearing if it had kicked off. |

If you're just in MOPP2 it's kinda hard to tell the difference anyway, right? Just paint up the difference. I've seen guys that play OIF I paint Peter Pig Marines with Woodland camo Saratoga suits (those are the suits that replaced the OG-84s, for your old bastards) and desert tri-color helmet covers. So if your guys are wearing Woodland or DPM uniforms, paint them wearing OD green MOPP suits with their Woodland/DPM helmet covers. Not great, but again, in my mind the only thing that's really going to be noticeable is MOPP3 or 4 with the mask on anyway. V/R, Jack |

Fair point Jack, it should actually make painting easier! |

Good point regarding MOPP levels. I suppose the suit and fish-boots wouldn't really be recognizable at 15mm scale. I was thinking more in terms of masks on faces, full MOPP-4. |

I've done a few, SLR and GPMG in noddy suits. Just not enough to release a pack yet. :-) |

Not sure exactly what year you'll be playing but UK forces switched to full DPM NBC gear (Mk IV) in IIRC the late 80s. |

DG, we had DPM war stocks in 86, pity as DPM is such a pain to paint!! Tally Ho! |

"I was thinking more in terms of masks on faces, full MOPP-4." Hey! MOPP-3 is suit, boots, and mask; MOPP-4 just adds the gloves! ;) V/R, Jack |

Hey, Jack good catch. That was a standard question that tripped people up on soldier and promotion boards, you add the mask at MOPP-3 and the gloves at MOPP-4. Says the 16th Signal Battalion Soldier of the Year for 1995. Been all down hill since then… |

Hey, I was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal and Corporal based on my 'knowledge'! The Corporal board came down to me and another Marine, the question being: what was the largest US Marine force to ever surrender, where was it, when was it, and who surrendered them? I'll give ya a hint: ing Army!!! ;) V/R, Jack |

You could just paint their hands and face a black rubber colour/ whatever the nationality NBC kit looks like? |
