I put together a quick review of the Khurasan T-62 tank models I got plus a battle report of a club Team Yaakav battle we did the other day. More details in the blog posts, but nothing but praise for the Khurasan T-62 model. It had no flash/mold lines on it at all. It came with stowage and options for fuel barrels on the back or not. Paul72: I have got to say I love the Khurasan Soviet tanks. The T-62 is a nice little model and aside from the exasperation at gluing on individual MG magazines onto the turret, it is a pleasure to build and paint. The T-55 with its grouped MG magazines is much more sensible. The buildings and bazaar stands look like Crescent Root products and also look wonderful. You have a very nice table there indeed. The second to last photo of the book-lined room with the gaming table makes me so jealous. If I was there, I'd be so distracted perusing the books that you'd beat me in every game! Well done and thanks for posting this. I look forward to seeing more from you. Cheers and good gaming. Rod Robertson. |

Thanks Rod and James. That's what those little boxes were!! I had no clue and I had enough trouble trying to glue on some of the other attachments, I said forget it. We actually game at our local game store. Most of the books are old GURPS and other games from the 80s, so you'll probably be safe. And, yes, the buildings are Crescent Root. Great company and buildings. I can't recommend them enough (also they are from my hometown of Tucson so double thumbs up!). Paul |

Are you planning to use Magach 7's or M60A1 tanks in the near future? |

I have some M60A1s in the background of the first picture up top. They are kind of hard to see though. I use them as Magach 6s. They are QRF models. I made a bunch of plasticard blocks and glued them on as reactive armor. I'm not too thrilled with the QRF model, it did fit together well at all. I'll probably never do Magach 7s. The turret is just so different I'd have to do some major customizing. Plus they are a bit out of my 1982 timeline. |

Old Glory has 15mm M60A1s. They look marginally better than most other M60s. I hope BF M60A3s look much better. I have a dozen of the OG M60A1s. They will be M60A3s as I used the 105mm gun from the BF Abrams tank(close enough. If anyone should have the smoke dischargers from the Abrams and they are not using them, I am willing to take them off your hands… |
