Gorgeous stuff Kim! Looks like a really fun game, and extremely well done troops and terrain.

Thanks gang. Nazrat, a.k.a. Jerry Frazee, has convinced me to run Congo at the up coming Historicon. This particular scenario was a first play test. We just used the terrain we had on hand for the game shown above; however, I plan to up the ante and go for making a more dynamic looking table. First part is to find a suitable section of fake fur and do the dog clipper bit to carve out animal trails, pathways and cleared areas. Next will be to go above and beyond on making set pieces of jungle terrain and rocky outcroppings.

I wish the game could handle more than four players but I plan to run the game a fair number of times to give folks a chance to enjoy. Pretty much everyone understands the game mechanics after the first turn. The game plays pretty fast as well. This particular game went about three hours but there was a lot of discussion and of course cracking of jokes that leaves at least one of the group gasping for breath and concerns of whether we will have to call EMTs.(That would be you John.) So at a typical convention setting the game would probably play a little faster…or not. grin

I need to paint up a few more models and get flocking and static grass down on all the bases. Which the discerning eye will note not all the figures are currently flocked. Mea culpa.

So really I am way ahead on this project compared to other games I have decided to run at conventions in the past. Well there are those few hundred Slaughterloo figures to paint for another game planned for H-con.
