For my project Wagram 15mm, I think of using Prussian 1806 by AB to represent the musketeers and Hessian fusilliers. But must I use Musketeers schutzen to represent Hessian fusilliers ? Or I use Prussian musqueteers to represente the musketeers and Hessian fusilliers ? |

As I understand it, Fusiliers were the same uniform and musket except green instead of Blue. Also horns not drummers and the officers had curved swords over straight. Schutzen would be wrong as they have rifles and the Hessian Fusiliers did not. A few men in each company (musketeers and Fusiliers) did have German rifles and so would be schutzen. |

@ Merovee, I am building the grande Armee for 1809 campaign as well. If my sources are accurate, the 1809 HD infantry had gone to the shako:
I used the Old glory 15s Hesse Darmstadt infantry. Otherwise, if so choose the 1806/1807 campaign dress you might consider using the BM ( Blue moon miniatures) or old glory 15 saxon pre-1810 infantry who have the knapsack in the french style and not the prussian style. AB- should also cover your post 1807 HD with shako. Other wise AB Spanish in bicorn may work and you take a look at them. Have fun with them MG |

@MG In 1809, sources contradict themselves on the general aspect, because officially the new French-style holding is adopted. In reality, it seems whether it is still the former holding in the Prussian still carried. So during Wagram, HD continu to use bicorn. |

There's a brief note in Gill, "With eagles to glory", p.219, which says "towards the end of the war, shakos were introduced for the infantry, but issue was still incomplete when the contingent returned to Darmstadt in January 1810". I did mine in bicorne for '09. |
