After my failure of last week, this week I actually got something done.

I found the lost Amazons! (I had placed them, in their large white storage box, on the 'wrong' shelf "just for the moment." Then, because they were on the wrong shelf, they effectively became invisible to me although they were in plain sight!) All the Amazons have been united together. grin

Basing Wild Elf archers: Texturing done, ground painted, doing touch-ups before flocking.

Batch #3 Lizardfolk: Basecoat and details almost done, then wash and highlight! These went fast. grin

Pumpkinheads: These came onto my workbench to be "properly based" to match the rest of my fantasy stuff; upon further inspection, it seems that when these were shipped to me, they were wrapped in paper towels while still tacky from the sealer spray – they have a bad case of 'paper fiber itis'! Giving them a good soak in clean water helps a lot in the cleaning process.

River Section prototype: Basecoated.

Good to hear.

I finally got a little done as well, on my 1/144th scale Cold War project.

Lack of a proper defense budget has hindered operations a bit, but desperate times call for desperate measures, so I've been doing a lot of Youtube Wargaming Terrain and Scenics watching, plus some reading, and am working on some terrain for the battle to be fought over.

Looks like that is paying off a bit, since I've made decent progress on testing road-making a bit, and that is working out well. Also, based some evergreens last week, and touched them up a bit this one. Need to do a bit more, but at least they're serviceable now.

Been testing some paper building designs, and other stuff too, to see how it/that works.

Next, need to make some fields, and actually paint some vehicles and troops, and base the latter.

At least now though, I have enough stuff for a little pre-game battle testing with minis, instead of just graph paper, so that's a big plus.

Need to make some rivers too, but torn on the width, and which materials to use to make them, so need to just get over that and do some more experimenting, I suspect.

Good to hear, Bill! "just for a the moment" is a dangerous thing to do. Please post pictures, if possible. (I know, pot calling the kettle, here.)

I ended up not painting figures because I found the Zouaves that looked so good in the Don Trojoni painting did not look so good on a 28mm fig. (my opinion, of course. Each to his own desire.) So I will be enlarging my other 2 Zouave units with the figs purchased and then moving on to other ACW figs.
