Since we have one for Cooper, let's have it for the champions of the NWOBHM

Iron Maiden
Killers
The Number of the Beast
Piece of mind
Powerslave
Somewhere in time
Seventh son of a seventh son
No prayer for the dying
Fear of the dark
The X factor
Virtual XI
Brave new world
Dance of death
A matter of life and death
The final frontier
The book of souls.

Pick 3.

1st. Where is your picks?
2nd. Being a fan from the early 80's to pick 3 just don't seem right.

Powerslave, because what could be more wargame relevant than this? Also, I've fantasy gamed the conflict between Set and Horus plus ancients battles between the red lands and the black lands, and Hyksos invasions and the subsequent rebellions.

Ignoring the myriad of other war topics and wargaming subjects in Maiden songs, here's two and three …

Number of the Beast
Brave New World

Supporting Grimmnar, ask me tomorrow … I might have a different top three.

TheGiantTribble25 Feb 2017 7:15 a.m. PST

Seventh Son, Number of the Beast, Live after Death (even though it isn't in your list)
Honrable mention goes to Somewhere in time, and Power Slave.

Just 3? No way! Some of their "newer" stuff is as good as the classics.

Now, these two suck:
The X factor
Virtual XI

I will say Piece of Mind and The Final Frontier are really tops for me.

Weasel25 Feb 2017 8:39 a.m. PST

My 3 is Power slave, Matter of Life and Death and Brave New World, though assigning an exact order is tough.
