… do you most identify with while wargaming? Spit balling here:

Charlie Brown: mediocre commander who desperately wants to be liked but whose die roles routinely frustrate all his efforts on both attack and defense.

Lucy Van Pelt: Domineering, crabby commander. Prefers offense as the best defense and hates losing.

Linus Van Pelt: the sage of the table, well read with occasional flights of fancy he often ends up the victor.

Snoopy: wildly imaginative, funny player – adored by all the players.

Schroeder: loves his particular period at the expense of all others. When he's running his own game, with his beautiful terrain and miniatures he's in his element. But often he doesn't show for games outside his interest area and when he does he can be indifferent and unengaging.

Peppermint Patty: Not very bright but an aggressive commander. Never bothers to read the rules, has a mixed win:loss record.

Marcie: a faithful but relatively timid subordinate to Peppermint Patty. They come together or not at all and frequently play on the same side.

Pig Pen: the smelly one. Average commander but his hygiene often makes others uncomfortable. Especially when he handles their figures.

Frieda: great talented painter but too full of herself to not be slightly alienating.

Sally Brown: worships Linus and follows his lead though she typically comes out worse for wear.

Spike: Snoopys weird old brother who shows up on the rare occasion he's in town.

Woodstock: flighty, unfocused commander. Difficult to understand the disconnect between his battlefield objectives and his troop commanding. Always wandering off and has to be coralled back to the table.

Patty:?
Violet:?
Franklin:?

Definitely Charlie B.

I have actually said, after many a bad die roll, "I got a rock".

Charlie Brown's parents

Adults/Parents: I can think, play and talk a good game. However, roll some dice and my results become just background noise. "Wha, Wha-Wha, Wha-Wha, Wha, Wha."

I'd like to think I was Linus, but I'm more likely Charlie Brown

Hahah perfect.

I like to think not myself as a Snoopy. Bashytubits may be along in a while to provide a more accurate depiction.

Woodstock…for any number of reasons….but mostly because he brings to mind Joe Cocker's "A Little Help From My Friends" which sums up my tabletop experiences.

Peace!!
