Hiya TMP,

More work done on the Eylau table. We are at that stage where we feel we are doing a lot of work, but not making a lot of progress. Getting the table ready for paint and flock is most of the work it seems. None the less, we press on.

Grinding down the hills to shape.

Hot glue, where have you been all my life? What a time saver.

Light weight spackle on the hill bases to make a smooth transition of rising ground.

I just invented my road carving tool. As we build we are always trying to improve our techniques from the last table.

The painting has begun!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting paint on the table is always nice goal to reach. This is where I feel the process picks up steam. It's like reaching critical mass. It now becomes less of a chore and more of a fun process.

As always, more pics and write ups on my blog:

Really go look, much more detail about what we are doing there.

Cheers, Xin/Jeff

Xin, this is one of two tables for Cold Wars? You, Sir, are crazy! And I mean that in the best possible way. I always look forward to seeing your projects and the progress you are making.

Xin, you are the go-to dependably tenacious epic convention game terrain builder! It's always a great treat to see what you will be up to next. I love your "Hot Glue" comment! It is so true. The styrofoam terrain builder's best friend, and same for almost all wood or wood byproduct materials! Can't wait to see the next step…
