I just stumbled on this and thought I'd post it. Excellent modern urban terrain by an artist on tonight's BBC News. I wish I had this attention to detail.

Wowza! So realistic it screams for a bulldozer or controlled demolition to put it out of its misery..

I knew him before he was famous! :D

Josh is a local artist here in Adelaide, Australia. Got into miniatures via military modelling, 40K, etc when younger.

His attention to detail is astonishing, especially when you discover the vast majority of his works are true-to-life reproductions of actual items and places, with as little interpretation or fudging as possible.

That extends to cutting tiny stencils to match the the exact way paint has flaked off a wall in Kowloon, rather than approximating it as we more sane modellers might do.

Obviously, that dedication is paying off!

Thanks Guys,

It's great to see a terrainer get the recognition he deserves. Cheers for the extra info Martin.

Did anyone else notice the recurrant Star Wars theme in the graffiti?

Do the real buildings actually have Vader, Lando, and Sith tags on them, or was that his addition?

Can't say for sure, Andy, but I do know Josh was active with the street art scene before going small.

I also know some artists make a point of tagging buildings in different cities, even internationally, so maybe Josh was cataloging the work of some particular artist.

I'll ask him what's the deal next time I see him.

He should do a coffee table book of his work… amazing stuff!
