Second time around with Cold War after buying then selling. Picked up a job lot cheap so I'm back in. *Sigh*

I sympathize with your Sigh. I have bought and sold, then bought and sold again, 15mm Napoleonic British and 25mm Sassanids. I think I'm over them now. |

The good news is that you can sell them if you want to. |

The look cool. What's with the extra-long bases? If you're going back and forth that should be telling you something. You like the scale and period because you keep coming back to it. So keep the things! |

@Tgunner: The bases protect the barrels. These Soviet barrels get bendy if you blow on them! The bases are 40x15mm. If I had 15 x 35 I would have used them… |

I'm actually not that happy with the paint job. I based in Coat d'Arms Army Green, then dry brushed but you can barely see it. I tried Camouflage Green but it was too bright and yellow. So I still need to find the right color combo that makes me happy.. |

Knew you couldn't stay away. They look great! |

EC, have you tried a simple ink wash or paint/floor polish mixture wash? (sometimes known as dip) I find that works really well on microarmor if you keep it fairly dilute and use a brand with little surface tension. |

I use washes like that on 15mm. In 6mm it muddies the figure too much. If I lighten the wash then you can't see it anyway. |

Good move to protect the barrels ! Great work ! I always use GW washes on my 6mm, and then dry brush. They turn out pretty good. I don't like the floor wax technique … |
