Thanks gents, it is a classic mech, one of my favourite designs.
It is intended to be some kind of R2 unit, yes. (or R5, the difference is beyond me I'm afraid). The idea was suggested on the 15mm sci-fi Facebook page! |

An R5 unit is just the same as an R2 unit but it has a squarer look to it's head:
